Primerica Receives Volunteer of the Year Award

Gwinnett County Friends of Senior Services nominates winning company.

Primerica was recently recognized for its "extraordinary support of worthy causes and sustained volunteer outreach commitment to the community" by the COVA or Atlanta Council of Volunteer Administrators. The company received the 2012 Corporation of the Year award at the June 14 COVA awards celebration.

Gwinnett County Friends of Senior Services, also known as simply Friends, was responsible for nominating the winner. Friends is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) volunteer organization in Gwinnett that raises funds to privately support or assist senior programs in Gwinnett County.

“We would like to congratulate Primerica for being such a valued partner in the community. The corporation has been instrumental in assisting Friends with delivering meals to our seniors for over 32 years without interruption,” stated director of Gwinnett County Health and Human Services Division, Pat Baker in a press release by Gwinnett County.

Former Friends president and current board member, Primerica Senior Vice President, Pam Tokarz accepted the award at an awards dinner sponsored by Trees Atlanta.
